The Weekend

Our weekend was amazing! It was so great to have grandma here. I am sad that she left. I always am. We all are!

So, I will start with Saturday:

Saturday we went to the Strawberry Festival. We got there at around noon. It was packed with people! It always is. The first thing mom wanted to do was get something to eat=) hehe... But- we didn't mind. After all, she does have our sibling growing inside her. We wouldn't want either to be hungry. We got four funnel cakes and split them. They were so good! After we ate those we walked around. Up and down the streets looking at all the Vender's goods. We had a great time. It was getting close to evening, and a little chilly, so we headed home.

On Monday Grandma, Jacob, Noelle , Carter, and I went to Pismo Beach. It was a little chilly. I didn't think it was too bad. Though Grandma did. She is used to hot weather. Our chilly is like her freezing. As soon as Grandma was settled with the two little ones, Jacob and I walked over and rented wet suits for Noelle, Carter, and Himself. Despite the fact that it was a little cold, we went out surfing. It wasn't until I stepped on something squishy and gross that I decided I was done. That has never happened to me! It scared me so badly.... I did scream. Then I jumped up on my board and paddled in. We left not too long after that... It was getting colder. Even Carter wanted to go home! He never wants to leave the beach.

It is now Tuesday morning and Grandma has left.

We have a full day ahead.

Have a Blessed day!

Current Happenings

Bonjou!

Currently, we are about to begin Narnia. However, I thought I'd take a moment to make a quick post=)

Dad is home safe from being out of town. He came in late last night after being gone on a five day business trip. We are all very glad that he is home. Hopefully, he won't have to do that again anytime soon.

Grandma will be here tonight... I'm not sure when, as I have yet been told when she left. From where she lives it's a three hour drive. Plus, it is a three day weekend so there will be some weekend traveling. Which means, traffic. Hopefully she will be here soon!

Tomorrow- is the Strawberry Festival. I am so excited! We all are. The Strawberry Festival is so much fun! Food, Venders, Rides, Face Painting, Bottled Coca Cola, and Shops. LOTS of strawberries=) There is almost strawberry everything! It is very fun... We are looking forward to that. Makes us want to go to be early so that Saturday will come quicker=) It's going to be 71 degrees and a perfect day to walk around...

Also! Next weekend Julia, Kyle, Devin, Mackenzie, and Emily will be here for a while! That is something we really can't wait for. I think all, except for (maybe) Mackenzie, will be stay for just a week. During that time, im excited, I'll get to take them out surfing. Yay! I don't know what else we will do, however, it will be amazing. When we are all together it is always amazing=)

Well, that's about all there is for tonight.

God Bless,

and Good Night!

Late Post For Mother's Day

Hello all!

Sorry for this rather late post for our Mother's Day. I am ashamed to admit it, but, i forgot our family blog password. whoops=)

Our Mother's Day was wonderful! Grandma came up the Saturday before Mother's Day. (just as a side note, I thought I'd explain our Grandmother name situation... We call our Mom's mom Grandma, or gamo for myself, and my Dad's mom, Grandmere=)

Amandolin helping Grandma with her wetsuit

The Saturday our Grandma came, we went to Pismo Beach to surf, have fun in the sun, and spend time as a family. It was a wonderfully beautiful day! Absolutely gorgeous. A slight breeze, yet warm and welcoming. Grandma surprised me by asking if i would teach her to surf... I couldn't believe it! SO, we rented, in addition to Dad, Jacob, Noelle, and Carter, her a wetsuit. She was so cute in her wetsuit! The whole way down to the sand and surf Grandma expressed her concern of sharks. Mom and I both assured her that there were no sharks where we surf, as it is too shallow. She was still rather convinced and rather frightened. I zip up her wetsuit, as well as my own, grab the board and head towards the water. She nervously requested that i go first to show her how it's done. I do so and walk back to her. AND while I was catching a wave Noelle came up with the boogie board, convincing her to join her in that instead. In the end, Grandma didn't surf. She got in the water though! (She is coming again this weekend for the yearly 'Strawberry Festival,' maybe we can try to get her to surf again=)

Mom, Amandolin, Grandma, and Noelle

Mom, Amandolin, and Grandma

For Mother's Day, we got ourselves ready for Church and headed out. I drove Grandma, Jacob, and Noelle, in the Volvo, while the rest on the family followed behind in the Tank(our nick name for the Suburban). It was wonderful to have Grandma go to church with us! The sermon was wonderful=) Completely about motherhood. I enjoyed it! After Church, we headed home for a beautiful Mother's Day meal. As soon as dinner was done we practically begged Mom and Grandma to read their cards and open their gifts. Some tears were shed at the reading of Mother's Day cards, and smile filled our living room, as all sat and watched the card and present procession. It was an amazing Mother's Day!

Goodbye for now, and until our next post.
