Hello all!
Sorry for this rather late post for our Mother's Day. I am ashamed to admit it, but, i forgot our family blog password. whoops=)
Our Mother's Day was wonderful! Grandma came up the Saturday before Mother's Day. (just as a side note, I thought I'd explain our Grandmother name situation... We call our Mom's mom Grandma, or gamo for myself, and my Dad's mom, Grandmere=)

The Saturday our Grandma came, we went to Pismo Beach to surf, have fun in the sun, and spend time as a family. It was a wonderfully beautiful day! Absolutely gorgeous. A slight breeze, yet warm and welcoming. Grandma surprised me by asking if i would teach her to surf... I couldn't believe it! SO, we rented, in addition to Dad, Jacob, Noelle, and Carter, her a wetsuit. She was so cute in her wetsuit! The whole way down to the sand and surf Grandma expressed her concern of sharks. Mom and I both assured her that there were no sharks where we surf, as it is too shallow. She was still rather convinced and rather frightened. I zip up her wetsuit, as well as my own, grab the board and head towards the water. She nervously requested that i go first to show her how it's done. I do so and walk back to her. AND while I was catching a wave Noelle came up with the boogie board, convincing her to join her in that instead. In the end, Grandma didn't surf. She got in the water though! (She is coming again this weekend for the yearly 'Strawberry Festival,' maybe we can try to get her to surf again=)

Mom, Amandolin, and Grandma
For Mother's Day, we got ourselves ready for Church and headed out. I drove Grandma, Jacob, and Noelle, in the Volvo, while the rest on the family followed behind in the Tank(our nick name for the Suburban). It was wonderful to have Grandma go to church with us! The sermon was wonderful=) Completely about motherhood. I enjoyed it! After Church, we headed home for a beautiful Mother's Day meal. As soon as dinner was done we practically begged Mom and Grandma to read their cards and open their gifts. Some tears were shed at the reading of Mother's Day cards, and smile filled our living room, as all sat and watched the card and present procession. It was an amazing Mother's Day!

Goodbye for now, and until our next post.
