Last night was the Civil War dance. We used to go all the time (well, there are like two or three a year). However, somehow, we didnt go for the last year. SO last night was our first dance for a while. It was so much fun! i forgot how much fun they were. None of us are in our actual civil war dress. Mom's tummy out-grew her dress, mine need patching (so much infact that it would be equivalent to just making a new one), and Noelle's dress is still being made. The boys in our family... Well, they had no excuse. Haha! Noelle is in her Regency Era dress, i am in a Vintage 50's dress, and Mom in what her tummy will fit;-)

The blessings of children and friendship
Today was my dear friends baby shower. It was such a joy to bless her and her sweet baby with a special time of prayer and fellowship. This is Kathy's fifth child. It is also exciting as I am expecting my fifth child. God has been so good to both of us and our wonderful families. It is so fun to walk through pregnancy and all its joys and discomforts with a friend;) We went and registered together and what a blast we had! I can loan her my bassinet and maybe she will loan me the infant insert (hint,hint...)
Kathy is 38 weeks pregnant, today! We can really say she is 'great with child'. I am really looking forward to meeting her precious babe. Babies are so wonderful and every one is another image of God.
Here are a few pictures. Some of myself, Kathy, and both of us today at her shower.
Can't wait to see what day God chooses for her little boys birthday!

The Weekend
Our weekend was amazing! It was so great to have grandma here. I am sad that she left. I always am. We all are!
So, I will start with Saturday:
Saturday we went to the Strawberry Festival. We got there at around noon. It was packed with people! It always is. The first thing mom wanted to do was get something to eat=) hehe... But- we didn't mind. After all, she does have our sibling growing inside her. We wouldn't want either to be hungry. We got four funnel cakes and split them. They were so good! After we ate those we walked around. Up and down the streets looking at all the Vender's goods. We had a great time. It was getting close to evening, and a little chilly, so we headed home.
On Monday Grandma, Jacob, Noelle , Carter, and I went to Pismo Beach. It was a little chilly. I didn't think it was too bad. Though Grandma did. She is used to hot weather. Our chilly is like her freezing. As soon as Grandma was settled with the two little ones, Jacob and I walked over and rented wet suits for Noelle, Carter, and Himself. Despite the fact that it was a little cold, we went out surfing. It wasn't until I stepped on something squishy and gross that I decided I was done. That has never happened to me! It scared me so badly.... I did scream. Then I jumped up on my board and paddled in. We left not too long after that... It was getting colder. Even Carter wanted to go home! He never wants to leave the beach.
It is now Tuesday morning and Grandma has left.
We have a full day ahead.
Have a Blessed day!

Amandolin
